BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) double-glass solar panels Installation instructions

Date:22/08/2024

BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) double-glass solar panels are a solar power generation system that can be embedded in building structures. They are usually made of glass materials and can replace traditional building materials while generating electricity.

The following are general installation instructions for BIPV double glass solar panels.

1. Security check:

Before starting work, ensure that all relevant safety measures have been taken. This includes wearing personal protective equipment (e.g. hard hats, gloves, goggles) and ensuring the work area is safe.

2. Material and tool preparation:

Make sure you have enough materials and tools required for BIPV double glass solar panels, brackets, solar cables, solar inverters, etc.

Prepare necessary tools such as power tools, hand tools, screwdrivers, and wrenches.

Please note that BIPV double glass solar panels cannot be cut or drilled.

3. Installation bracket structure:

Install bracket structures to support solar panels. Make sure the bracket is installed securely and flat to accommodate the chosen mounting location.

4. Cable wiring:

Install solar cables, connect them to the output terminals of the solar panels, and ensure that the cables pass through a safe location of the building structure.

5. Install solar panels:

Install BIPV double glass solar panels on the bracket structure. Make sure the solar panel installation location meets the design requirements and use appropriate fixings to secure the solar panel to the bracket.

6. Connect the cable:

Connect the output cable of the solar panel to the input terminal of the solar inverter, ensuring that the cable connection is firm and the insulation is intact.

7. Safety inspection and testing:

Before putting it into operation, conduct a safety inspection to ensure that all screws are tight, cable connections are secure, and that there are no visible problems.

Conduct necessary electrical tests to ensure proper system operation.

8. System monitoring and maintenance:

Install appropriate monitoring systems to monitor the performance of solar power systems in real time.

Carry out regular maintenance work, clean the surface of the solar panels, check whether the cables and connecting parts are damaged, and ensure the normal operation of the system.

Please note that the installation of BIPV double glass solar panels usually requires professional solar installers or technicians. Additionally, depending on local regulations and building codes, it may be necessary to obtain a permit or negotiate with the power company to connect to the grid. Make sure you research the relevant codes and regulations carefully before proceeding with the installation.

The installation method of BIPV is similar to the installation method of glass

The specific steps of this method are as follows:

1) Fix 2 pieces of frameless BIPV solar panels on the fixed bracket 1 through the adhesive fixing device 3 made of PE polyethylene foam double-sided tape;

2) The wires drawn out of the junction box 4 pass through the wire channel hole 6 on the fixed bracket 1 and are connected to the connector 5. The wire channel hole 6 is provided with a weather-resistant sealing gasket 7;

3) Install the frameless BIPV solar modules 2 onto the fixed bracket l in sequence, and use silicone 8 to seal the gaps between adjacent modules.
